Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before booking your safari with Focus Mission Safaris Tanzania. By making a booking, you agree to these terms and conditions.

1. Booking Confirmation

Your booking will be confirmed once we receive a deposit payment and a completed booking form. A confirmation email will be sent to you, including details of your itinerary, accommodation, and any special requests you have made. It is essential to review the confirmation email to ensure that all details are correct. If there are any discrepancies, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your confirmation.

2. Payment Terms

A deposit of 30% of the total safari cost is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days before your departure date. For bookings made within 30 days of the departure date, full payment is required at the time of booking. Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or PayPal. Any bank charges incurred during the transaction are the responsibility of the client.

3. Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your booking, the following cancellation fees will apply:

  • More than 30 days before departure: 50% of the deposit will be forfeited.
  • 30 to 15 days before departure: 50% of the total cost will be charged.
  • 14 days or less before departure: 100% of the total cost will be charged.

To cancel your booking, please send a written notice to us via email. Cancellation fees will be calculated based on the date we receive your cancellation notice. We recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers cancellations for unforeseen circumstances.

4. Changes to Bookings

If you wish to make changes to your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. This includes changes to the travel dates, number of travelers, or the itinerary. Changes requested within 14 days of departure may not be possible, and any additional costs incurred due to changes will be the responsibility of the client.

5. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover potential issues such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and personal liability during your trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that your insurance policy provides adequate coverage for your safari activities, including any adventure sports or excursions you may wish to undertake.

6. Responsibilities of the Client

You are responsible for ensuring that you have valid travel documents, including a passport with at least six months validity beyond your return date, and visas as required for your destination. You should also ensure that any vaccinations or health requirements for travel to Tanzania are met. Clients are responsible for their personal belongings during the safari, and we recommend securing your valuables in a safe place.

7. Liability Limitations

Focus Mission Safaris Tanzania is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to you or your property arising from your participation in our safaris, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. This includes any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We will make every effort to ensure your safety during the safari; however, participation in any activities is at your own risk.

8. Health Requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure you are fit for travel. Please consult your doctor for any necessary vaccinations or medications before your safari. We recommend vaccines for diseases such as Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A and B, and Typhoid. Please inform us of any medical conditions or dietary restrictions we should be aware of before your trip.

9. Conduct During the Safari

We expect all clients to conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful to local customs and other guests. Disruptive or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated, and we reserve the right to remove any client from the safari without a refund if their behavior is deemed inappropriate. Clients are also expected to follow all safety guidelines provided by the safari guides.

10. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Tanzania. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tanzanian courts. If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.

11. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The updated terms will be available on our website. Clients are encouraged to review the terms and conditions before making a booking to stay informed of any changes. Continued use of our services after any amendments indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.
