Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanajaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be warmly welcomed by the guides from Focus Mission Safaris Tanzania. They will assist you with your luggage and provide a brief introduction to your safari. Afterward, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Arusha, where you will check in at the Charity International Hotel for your overnight stay.

Take some time to rest and refresh after your journey, or explore the vibrant surroundings of Arusha town. Your guides will provide you with a briefing about the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park and Cultural Experiences

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its diverse ecosystems and rich wildlife. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a half-day game drive, where you’ll have the chance to see elephants, giraffes, and the iconic tree-climbing lions, as well as an abundance of bird species.

After your game drive, you’ll return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a unique experience biking through the picturesque landscapes of Mto wa Mbu. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit local villages, interact with the residents, and learn about their traditions and daily lives.

As the day comes to a close, you’ll check in at Twiga Lodge, where you can unwind in comfort after an enriching day.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Masai Village

After an early breakfast, you’ll set off for Serengeti National Park. On your way, you’ll stop at a Ngorongoro Maasai Village, where you’ll be welcomed by the Maasai people. You’ll have the chance to experience their vibrant culture, including traditional dances, songs, and a glimpse into their daily life.

Continuing your journey, you’ll arrive in the Serengeti around lunchtime. After a delicious picnic lunch, you’ll embark on an exhilarating game drive until sunset. Keep an eye out for the magnificent wildlife that roams the vast plains, including herds of wildebeest, zebras, and predators in action.

In the evening, you’ll check in at Tanzania Bush Camp for an authentic bush experience under the stars.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you’ll embark on one last morning game drive in the Serengeti, soaking in the sights and sounds of the African wilderness. This is your final chance to spot any wildlife you may have missed.

In the late morning, you’ll drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll check in at Ngorongoro Wild Camp. Enjoy lunch at the camp before heading out for an afternoon adventure.

Take a guided walk around the camp and learn about the unique flora and fauna of the area from your guide. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with the environment and appreciate the landscape’s beauty.

Return to Ngorongoro Wild Camp for dinner and enjoy a peaceful night in the heart of the conservation area.

Day 6: Full Day in Ngorongoro Crater and Departure

After an early breakfast, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of exploration. The crater, often referred to as “Africa’s Garden of Eden,” is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, hippos, and the critically endangered black rhino.

Your guide will take you through various habitats, from the lush floor of the crater to the surrounding escarpment, offering opportunities to spot the region’s diverse wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater while admiring the breathtaking scenery.

After a day filled with adventure and wildlife viewing, you’ll drive back to Arusha in the late afternoon. Depending on your travel plans, you’ll either be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.
